Warehouse Associate

Responsible for receiving and stocking all incoming freight, wrap and prepare pallets for shipping to stores with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use NAPA computer system and scan gun to receive freight in a timely and accurate manner, and verify any overages or shortages prior to finalizing the order
  • Inform the warehouse manager of any discrepancies on incoming freight
  • Inspect incoming freight for damage, match the bill of lading to pallets received, and then match to packing slip and NAPA purchase order
  • Prepare outgoing freight pallets in a safe and orderly fashion to ensure that product is protected, with proper paperwork included
  • Process, pull and bill interstore orders accurately in a timely fashion
  • Pull product on hand for vendor returns using scan gun, and prepare for shipping
  • Put away all checked-in freight with accuracy, neatness and efficiency
  • Load or unload trucks if necessary
  • Safely use forklift to store full pallets on pallet racking, and move product from one location in the building to another
  • Maintain a safe, neat and clean working environment
  • All other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager

Physical Demands/Working Environment

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely without assistance
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to squat, climb, bend, reach above shoulder level, kneel, push and pull

Education/Experience

  • Certification for use of the forklift is a plus
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent is suggested
  • Experience in stocking and inventory is a plus
